Updated measurements - Oh er.

OK, just a quick post to post my stats.

Weight - 8 st 11
Biceps - 10 in
Waist - 30 in
Waist at belly button line - 33 in
Hips - 37 in
Thigh - 21 in

That's it. A bit disappointed I only lost a lb this week, but it's better than putting on!

Meet Harry


Hello brave blog followers!

In August 2009 I got my tortoise, he is a horsfield tortoise and is called Harry, short for Haribo!

Diet and fitness wise, well I am still 8 stone 12 :( but I am being a LOT LOT more strict with myself and am exercising every day. Hopefully next week I will have some positive news.... please please pretty please.

What an idiot!!!

Yes, I am referring to myself, I am a complete an utter idiot. I maintained again this week, despite sticking to my calories and doing 4 half hour sessions of exercise. So as you may expect I was really really really disappointed and upset. Anyway, today I had a look on the side of my favourite drink......

no not wine.....

Tesco High Juice blackcurrant squash, it might as well be wine, at least I would enjoy all those calories I was consuming. So on top of my calories I have eaten I have also drank around 450 Cal's a day in juice..

At least I know now, size 8 here I come.... :)

Crapping my pants

Hello,

Well Tuesday 9 am marks the time and date of the my second year PhD viva. Monday sees me with my head buried in my books and trying to convince myself that, yes I know what I am doing, and yes, it is important. Am I convincing you yet??

I guess feeling nauseous helps with the diet? :D

On a lighter note, how the hell did those twins make it onto next weeks show. :rolleyes:

Resurrection!!!!!

Tick to'ck, tick to'ck...............

The big 30 is looming .... arrrrgggghhhh.

Hello,

Well after a severe period of absence I have decided to return to my blog spot and resurrect this bad boy. The motivation? Well it's only 52 days till my birthday and I am determined to have shifted at least half a stone by then. This means I am going to have to get tough on my ass and take this thing seriously.


So, I have finally started using weight loss resources properly and am logging all my food and exercise. The only negative thing is, I have been ILL!! Dom, dom, dom!!!!! Which means the exercise has been on hold. I am however, doing fairly well on the food front. I have started their Christmas challenge, which is a great motivational tool. Who knows, I may even be able to stick to this!


Anyway, enough about the diet, how fricken funny was 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' last night? I know it's trash TV but I love it. Tables were flying, ladies were screaming, the claws were out. I was really hoping for some wrestling but sadly no. :)


Wedding plans? Don't even go there, anyone have suggestions for a work shy H2B?? I think I need a rocket.

Now, down to business;

Weight - 8 st 11 (yes I am in the 8 st category, but at the wrong end!)
Height - 5ft 2 (surprisingly this doesn't change)


I will take some measurement this evening and post later.

Day Three

Ooops well I missed posting yesterday as I had a mountain of ironing to do :yawn: It took me 2 hours to get through it all and I still haven't finished, gah I hate coming home from holiday!

Breakfast - Nak'd bar coc loca (yum) (243 kcals)

Lunch - Chicken salad sandwich and fruit salad (400 Kcals)

Snack - Apple (40 Kcals)

Dinner - Chicken couscous salad (400 Kcals)

Treat - small glass of white wine (100 Kcals)

Total - 1200 Kcals (minus drinks)

Exercise -None, was feeling a bit sore. Does the 2 hours ironing count??

Day Two

Breakfast - pink smoothie (100 Kcal)

Snack - Nak'd bar (100 Kcal)

Lunch - Chicken salad sandwich (300 Kcals) and an apple (62 Kcals)

Dinner - Chicken balti, rice and 1/3 naan bread. (540 Kcals)

Total - 1100 Kcals (minus drinks)

Exercise - 1/2 hour on wii fit.

Day One of Proper Diet :)

Hello,

I have been absent for a few days as we have had a busy weekend, a couple of hours work on Saturday and then the future parents in law came over on Sunday - means that I haven't posted. Managed to get to Tesco on Saturday, so picked up everything I needed for my diet this week.

Breakfast: Pink Smoothie - juice of two oranges, half a pomegrate and half a banana. (100 kcals)

Lunch: Chicken salad sandwhich, 2 slices wholemeal bread, 1 tomato, 5 slices of cucumber, salad leaves. (300 kcals approx), half a N'kd bar (100 kcals)

Snack: 1 raw carrot (????)

Dinner: Crispy Chicken and homemade calslaw, (300 kcals)

Pudding: 1 Peach, 8 strawberries, 1 bannana and yoghurt (200 kcals)

Drinks; 2 cups of coffee with milk, 4 glasses of water, 1 herbal tea.

Total: 1000 kcals (without drinks)

Exercise: 45 mins of wii 'My fitness Coach'

Any thoughts on diet or exercise, please let me know.

Day Two

Diet is not going well, haven't been to the supermarket so am eating out of the freezer at the moment, I have, however, started drinking more water and substituted my usual morning coffee for 500mL of water and my lunchtime diet coke for 1L of the pure stuff. I have my cookery books ready so plan to make a shopping list tomorrow evening.

I have also done my Wii fitness coach tonight, only half an hour as the half an hour I did last night almost killed me. Whilst doing it I noticed that my belly sticks out further than my boobs. It really is a sorry state of affairs.

I thought I was going to die!!!!!

I have just completed my first Wii workout since the holiday and OMG it was hard. I was so exhausted, not good, now my bum is aching :( On a slightly lighter note, did a nasty diarrhea pump whilst doing a pile with an upright row, not good when you are lacking oxygen and breathing deeply. I also didn't get to try out my new exercise step, well it gives me something to look forward to tomorrow.

So my first post.... I guess I should introduce myself and give the reasons for starting this blog. My name is Claire, I am 29 years of age, live with my gorgeous boyfriend (soon to be husband) in a lovely 3 bed house in Loughborough.

I have basically been inspired by some good friends to start this blog to help me keep on top of my new healthier living plan. I have just returned from holiday in France and have seen some snaps of me looking frightful. Nice posture as you can see, those boobies look like sacs :( So I have decided that's it, I need to do something about my wobbly belly, bingo wings and boobs.

So here are the stats:

Height - 5 ft 2

Weight - 9 st 1

Boobs - 36.5'

Arms - 10.5

Smallest part of waist - 30.5

Bellybutton line - 35.5

Hips - 37

thigh - 20

Ideally I would like to get down to 8 st. however as long as I thin out the belly and boobs I will be happy. I really want to look slender for my wedding and beyond, so I need to make a plan that is easy for me to stick to and that I can enjoy. Habits that I have to give up include, missing breakfast, having milky coffee at work, not taking lunch to work and of course the booze. It's not going to be easy but I am hoping this will help to keep me motivated.

Tools I have include; 'My fitness coach' on the wii, I have weights, a ball and some new steps :), 'weightloss resources', my blogging and Lounge friends and my boyfriend. I hope these will be enough to keep me on the straight and narrow.
