It started on Saturday, had a great weigh in, lost 3lbs, however, went out that evening with Mr C's sister and husband for a curry and a few vino's, well A LOT of vino's. The next day had a toasted cheese sandwich for the hangover, tut tut tut. On Monday it was a friends birthday, so went to another friend's house for a curry and a few more glasses of vino plus some chocolate cake, which I worked out to be 600 calories per slice! &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;OMG&lt;/span&gt;!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So this week I have been trying to claw back the calories, I still have 208 to claw back for the weigh in on Saturday. BUT my parents are coming up this weekend so more food and vino. My mid-week weigh-in indicated that I have stayed the same. This is the best I can hope for this week. I am really pleased with this weight loss. I have been really concentrating on recording all my calories, hopefully I will carry this through to the end of the diet. I will be concentrating on my fitness and exercise, then the combination will help &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;maintain&lt;/span&gt; this weight loss. I am aware that it is difficult to lose 2-3lb every week. So I will be happy with a 1lb loss next week. :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Going out for an Indian tonight, will be having a few &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;drinkies&lt;/span&gt; too, so no snacks for me today and just soup (no bread) for lunch! Having &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;tandoori&lt;/span&gt; chicken as it is a dry dish with no cream or ghee! Have planned to have 2 glasses of wine and 2 vodka's with slimline tonic! That is a lot of &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;cals&lt;/span&gt; to sacrifice or to burn through exercise. So I am happy. However, last week I broke myself into the whole diet thing, not weighing everything I ate and I only exercised for 3 times a week. So this week I will be exercising more and being much more strict with myself when it comes to writing everything down and weighing all by pasta/rice/veg's etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Woohooo&lt;/span&gt; 8st 13! Didn't she have to leave the jungle because she was underweight and couldn't cope with the food rationing? Great role model there ..... please. I also see that Hannah Waterman has dropped 6 dress sizes in 5 months. That sounds like a healthy way to loose weight. I am watching 'My Big Fat Diet' and it is not that bad, it is showing people how many calories there are in &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;everyday&lt;/span&gt; food and it is quite an eye opener. The recipe makes 2 generous sized portions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ingredients&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 medium onions chopped&lt;br /&gt;4 gloves of garlic finely chopped&lt;br /&gt;1 inch of ginger finely chopped&lt;br /&gt;1 can of chopped tomatoes (440g)&lt;br /&gt;Baby spinach chopped (140g)&lt;br /&gt;Chicken thighs roughly chopped (400g)&lt;br /&gt;4 tablespoons of semi-skimmed milk&lt;br /&gt;1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon of ground tumeric&lt;br /&gt;1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon of garam masala&lt;br /&gt;2 cardamon pods&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon of salt&lt;br /&gt;1 tablespoon of olive oil&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Method&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Brown the chicken in the olive oil ( I use a  large heavy based pan)&lt;br /&gt;2. Remove the chicken and drain away any excess oil/fat from the chicken&lt;br /&gt;3. Wilt the spinach down in a separate pan and strain.&lt;br /&gt;4. Add half the onions and all of the tinned tomatoes to a blender and blend until you have a smooth paste.&lt;br /&gt;5. Fry the onions, garlic and ginger in a small amount of oil in the pan you used for browning the chicken until golden brown.&lt;br /&gt;6. Add the tomato and onion paste to the onions and garlic.&lt;br /&gt;7. Add the salt, coriander, cayenne pepper, cardamon pods and turmeric and cook for 10 mins on a low heat.  (I cover the pan at this point)&lt;br /&gt;8. Add the chicken and milk and cook for 10 mins on a low heat.&lt;br /&gt;9. So I have decided to have a day off from exercising but I did manage to persuade the other half to go for a 3 mile walk. Got up really late (11.30) so breakfast and lunch were kinda intermingled and only had a snack of nuts after the walk and proceeded onto dinner.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast/lunch - Malt &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;wheat's&lt;/span&gt; (45g) and semi skimmed milk (50&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;mL&lt;/span&gt;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Snack - 28 g of dry roasted peanuts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner - Chicken &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Saag&lt;/span&gt; with rice and a small &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;naan&lt;/span&gt; bread - this is a lovely recipe, best curry I have made from scratch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Drinks - 3 cups of coffee with semi-skimmed milk and 3 glasses of water.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, made my &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;sandwiches&lt;/span&gt; ready for tomorrow, not looking forward to going back to work! The postie bought me a new present today so I thought I would give it a go, well it almost finished me off!!! I am still red faced, 40 mins later. EA active is tough and I thought it would be another of those faddy Wii games that don't do much. Maybe I am out of practice and in time it will get repetitive and easy. We will have to see. The motivation? Well it's only 52 days till my birthday and I am determined to have shifted at least half a stone by then. This means I am going to have to get tough on my ass and take this thing seriously.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I have finally started using weight loss resources properly and am logging all my food and exercise. The only negative thing is, I have been ILL!! Dom, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;dom&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;dom&lt;/span&gt;!!!!! Which means the exercise has been on hold. I am however, doing fairly well on the food front. I have started their &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;Christmas&lt;/span&gt; challenge, which is a great motivational tool. Who knows, I may even be able to stick to this!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, enough about the diet, how &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8"&gt;fricken&lt;/span&gt; funny was 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' last night? I know it's trash TV but I love it. Tables were flying, ladies were screaming, the claws were out. I was really hoping for some wrestling but sadly no. :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wedding plans? Don't even go there, anyone have suggestions for a work shy H2B?? Managed to get to Tesco on Saturday, so picked up everything I needed for my diet this week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast: Pink Smoothie - juice of two oranges, half a pomegrate and half a banana. (100 kcals)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch: Chicken salad sandwhich, 2 slices wholemeal bread, 1 tomato, 5 slices of cucumber, salad leaves. I was so exhausted, not good, now my bum is aching :( On a slightly lighter note, did a nasty &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;diarrhea&lt;/span&gt; pump whilst doing a pile with an upright row, not good when you are lacking oxygen and breathing deeply. I guess I should introduce myself and give the reasons for starting this blog. My name is Claire, I am 29 years of age, live with my gorgeous boyfriend (soon to be husband) in a lovely 3 bed house in &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;Loughborough&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have basically been inspired by some good friends to start this blog to help me keep on top of my new healthier living plan. I have just returned from holiday in France and have seen some snaps of me looking frightful. Nice posture as you can see, those boobies look like sacs :( So I have decided that's it, I need to do something about my wobbly belly, bingo wings and boobs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here are the stats:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Height - 5 ft 2&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Weight - 9 st 1&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Boobs - 36.5'&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Arms - 10.5&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Smallest part of waist - 30.5&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bellybutton line - 35.5&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hips - 37&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;thigh - 20&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ideally I would like to get down to 8 st. however as long as I thin out the belly and boobs I will be happy. I really want to look slender for my wedding and beyond, so I need to make a plan that is easy for me to stick to and that I can enjoy. Habits that I have to give up include, missing breakfast, having milky coffee at work, not taking lunch to work and of course the booze. It's not going to be easy but I am hoping this will help to &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;keep&lt;/span&gt; me motivated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tools I have include; 'My fitness coach' on the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;wii&lt;/span&gt;, I have weights, a ball and some new steps :), '&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;weightloss&lt;/span&gt; resources', my blogging and Lounge friends and my boyfriend.
